Saturday Morning

Another beautiful day here at Curley's, the suns out and a slight south easterly wind across the lake.
Depth is the key with the sun being out, find the right depth and you will find the fish as Young Oliver Avis proved on Friday, with 18 fish to his net by 4pm. Mainly to lures, and specifically a yellow and black booby.

One of yesterday's captures, a small yet beautifully fully finned bow.

Quite a few anglers out bright and early, before the heat of the sun kicks in, although it is surprisingly cool this morning, a chilling easterly wind.

Plenty of fish showing near the surface, with the odd larger trout being sighted! Member Steve Moffat hooked into a monster yesterday as it screamed line off his reel out towards the centre of the lake, before snapping his leader clean. The one that got away!

Annual Members evening session & BBQ this upcoming friday 17th August. [More info].
